SHAPING

THE TAO OF SHAPING IN LEADERSHIP

The conventional approach to develop leadership skills in the business world often relies on course based or in-class sessions delivered by trainers, lecturers from business schools, mentors or coaches.

In Chinese ancient philosophy, developing future leaders resembles a process of shaping a dough of clay into potteries. The art of shaping lies in the hands of the shaper, the clay and the tools used to perform the task. The synchronicity of the shaper’s mind, heart and senses will define the artistic processes of shaping. It is the imperfection that happens along the time line that create the perfection at the end.
